Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden
Times: 5:00 AM - Registration opens (all walkers must check-in prior to walking) 7:00 AM - Official Walk starts 9:00 AM - All walkers must complete walk through Zoo 11:00 AM - Event ends
Address: SRP parking lot, 1600 N. Priest Dr. Tempe, AZ 85281 (NW corner of Washington St. / Priest Drive)
Directions: From Downtown Phoenix: go east on I-10. Take Hwy 202 (Red Mountain Fwy) to the Priest exit. Go north on Priest for about one mile. Phoenix Municipal Stadium Parking Lot will be on the left, turn left just before the overhead walking bridge. After 5:30am, turn West on Washington St. turn right on 56th Street, turn right into Stadium parking lot just before Van Buren. From the East Valley: Take Hwy 202 (Red Mountain Fwy) west to the Priest exit. Go North on Priest for about one mile, Phoenix Municipal Stadium Parking lot will be on the left, turn left just before the overhead walking bridge. After 5:30am, turn West on Washington St., turn right on 56th Street, turn right into Stadium Parking lot just before Van Buren. By Metro Light Rail: Try something new and fun...Travel on the Valley Metro light rail to the Walk MS....The nearest Metro station is the Priest at Washington station and on Saturday, the earliest stop time is 5:43am. Event Information: The Phoenix Walk MS starts and ends at SRP's headquarters parking lot and has a 3-mile and 5-mile path that winds through the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden. This route accommodates walkers of all ability levels and ages. Once finished, participants will enjoy food, drinks, festivities, and free admission to the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden for the entire day. Electric scooters, Segways, bikes, tricycles, wagons, strollers, rollerblades and skates are allowed. Razors and skateboards are NOT allowed. The MS Society loves dogs but the ZOO will not allow animals entrance into the facility with the exception of service animals.
