The 2014 Phoenix Walk MS is almost here... Thank you for being involved with the 27th Annual Phoenix Walk MS! Are you ready for an amazing day this Saturday, November 1st? Some important things for you to know before the big day:
We get to start our walk an hour later than years past! Registration at the event starts at 6:30 am, the opening ceremony begins at 7:30 am, with the walk to kick-off at 8:00 am. All participants must check-in at the Registration booth.
ONLINE REGISTRATION ends at midnight on Wednesday, October 29th. You can register at the event, but it is easier and quicker if registered online.
ADDRESS: The walk starts and finishes at the SRP Parking Lot located at: 1600 N. Priest Drive, Tempe, AZ 85281. Our short route takes you through the beautiful Phoenix Zoo and back to the SRP Parking lot (3 miles), and our long route will continue on over to scenic Papago Park before heading back to the SRP Parking lot (5 miles).
A wristband will be given and must be worn for the walk. The zoo entrance closes at 8:45 am. You will not be able to enter the zoo after this time. The long route closes at 10:30 am.
PARKING Phoenix Municipal Stadium parking lot is located directly across from the event venue. Enter from 56th St. or E. Van Buren St., as Priest Dr. will be closed for the event. Parking is FREE.
You must raise a minimum of $50 to return BACK INTO THE ZOO AFTER THE WALK.
You must raise a minimum of $100 to receive an event t-shirt.
2nd ANNUAL MS CAR SHOW AT WALK THIS YEAR! Check out the awesome vintage, customs, exotics and hot rods located right near the start/finish line area. This is a Team fundraiser and 100% of the proceeds are going back to the National MS Society, Arizona Chapter!
MAKE SURE TO COME BACK TO ENJOY THE FESTIVITIES AFTER THE WALK! There will be yummy BREAKFAST FOOD TRUCKS (before and after walk), live music, Expo, fun activities and Team spirit awards given out!! You don’t want to miss the “MS Experience” either. The food trucks will charge a small fee, with a % going back to the National MS Society, Arizona Chapter- please bring money for food trucks, some will take credit cards, but cash will be best.
